The church was originally planted in 1990 when a small group of friends began meeting in Glenfall Junior School in Charlton Kings. The name Glenfall Fellowship was used and has stuck despite the fact that we no longer meet there. In fact for the best part of the last 10 years we have met for Sunday morning service at St Edward's Junior School, just off the London Road in Charlton Kings.

For much of Glenfall's life it was an 'Anglican' church outside the Anglican structures. When it began the Church of England had no easy legal way of allowing a church to meet independently in the parish of another church. The only way around this at the time was to step out of the official Church of England. However, over the last ten years the Church of England has developed a more complex and open structure which provides more freedom for initiatives to grow across the old boundaries and so Glenfall began a journey that would bring it back under the Anglican umbrella.

In 2006 Glenfall became formally linked with Trinity Church, Cheltenham and through that connection became a mission community of the Diocese of Gloucester and the Church of England. Recently we altered the name a bit to become Glenfall Church, (although technically we are a 'congregation' of Trinity).

Our current lead paster, Ashley Collishaw, was licensed by Bishop Michael in St Edward's Junior school in November 2009.
