Glenfall Church is part of the Trinity Cheltenham family of churches (along with St Paul's), joining in the Trinity programme for activities that are better resourced together. At the same time we run our own structures, services and programmes and have our own vision within the overall values of Trinity. Our leader, Ashley Collishaw, is part of the Trinity staff team and we benefit from the oversight, guidance and wise counsel of Mark Bailey, the lead pastor of Trinity. We currently have about 90 adult members of the church covering a wide age range and generally our worship on Sundays is informal - we have a band leading a time of worship, part of the service is aimed at involving the children (we have around 40 under 16s) before they go off to their activities, and we usually have family communion on the first Sunday of the month. We try not to get too formulaic but we have an expectation that whenever and wherever we meet we will encounter God through his Holy Spirit, through the Bible and through each other. We value diversity and give each other space to question and wrestle with issues of faith. In many ways the heart of what we do is in our small groups. These meet during the week all over Cheltenham but mostly in the south (from the Reddings and Benhall across to Charlton Kings). We encourage all our members to belong to one of these groups. Some of the groups have a specific focus but all of them are centred around 'meeting, eating, playing and praying'. If you are interested in being part of a small group at Glenfall then please contact Ashley (see the contacts page). We believe that we are called to 'follow, inspire, love and adventure' and that shapes the way we do things as a church. If you want to know more detail then take a look at our 'values' page (click here).
If you are in to church jargon, we are an eclectic, network, non-parochial, missional congregation of Trinity Church Cheltenham and part of the Diocese of Gloucester in the Church of England
